With more than 18 years of clinical experience ,which includes 10 years of UAE work experience, Dr Yasir specializes in diagnosing ,treating and supporting individuals facing a wide range of mental health conditions. Dr Yasir combines evidence -based practices with a patient -centered approach and is committed to fostering emotional well-being and helping individuals and families lead fulfilling lives.
Dr Yasir pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (M.B.B.S) from Al Ameen Medical College ,University of Karnatak, India. He earned his Psychiatry specialization (MD) from Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (IMHANS), centre of excellence in Psychiatry ,Government Medical College Srinagar, Kashmir India. Prior to moving to UAE in 2015 Dr Yasir worked as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the prestigious Sri Ramachandra Medical College (SRMC) and research institute ,Chennai India and later as a Consultant Psychiatrist at IMHANS , Kashmir ,where he was involved in clinical as well as academic roles involving undergraduate and post graduate teaching.
Dr Yasir has worked as Specialist and Head of Department ,and Adjunct clinicaL Tutor of psychiatry at Thumbay Hospital Dubai .He established the department of Psychiatry at the Hospital and started clinical undergraduate (M.B.B.S) and psychiatric nursing teaching along with clinical duties.Prior to joining Symbiosis medical centre , Dr Yasir worked as a Specialist Psychiatrist in NMC Healthcare Sharjah from 2021 to 2024 and gained valuable experience managing patients from different cultures, languages and ethnic backgrounds presenting with various acute and chronic mental health problems.
