Biography :
Dr Farooq is an enthusiastic general practitioner with 5 years of NHS UK training. She has excellent communication skills and can communicate fluently in English, Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi and Saraiki. She has been working independently for the last 4 years in Dubai and has a huge interest in disease prevention. She strongly believes in continued professional learning and personal development . Dr Farooq is holding a full license to practice from the General Medical Council UK, Dubai Health Authority (DHA)and the Ministry of Health (MOH) UAE. She was awarded Diploma of Royal College of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (DRCOG) UK and also membership of Royal College of General Practitioner MRCGP UK. During covid times, Dr Farooq obtained World Health Organization (WHO) accredited Diploma in Family Medicine (DFM) from one of the most prestigious universities, Agha Khan University Karachi, Pakistan. She is currently preparing for MRCP Part 2 and Diploma of Child Health (DCH) from the Royal College of Paediatricians Ireland. Dr Farooq completed her foundation years training in UK after passing PLAB test and has worked in tertiary care hospitals in various specialities including Respiratory medicine, Rheumatology, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Trauma & Orthopaedics, General Practice, Vascular surgery, Stroke Medicine, Acute Medical Unit, Accident and Emergency, Intermediate Care and Elderly Care. As a result, she has exposure to wide range of medical specialties and can confidently manage common medical emergencies, chronic diseases, screening, prevention and referrals if required. She gained knowledge of women health during DRCOG and was involved in diagnosis and treatment of common gynaecological conditions during gynaecology clinics in UK. She also has experience of Obstetrics care and can confidently manage prenatal, pregnancy and postnatal patients.Qualifications : • MBBS. • MRCGP int (RCGP UK). • Diploma in Women Health (DRCOG UK). • Diploma in family medicine by WHO (AKU). • MRCP part 1. (RCP UK). • Diploma in Child Health. (DCH RCPI Ireland currently studying).
