Dr. Elegbe began his medical journey in Nigeria, where he completed his MBBS and postgraduate training. He later moved to the UK and the USA to further his training, obtaining the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of London, Fellowship of the American College of Physicians, and Fellowship of the West Africa College of Physicians. Prior to his move to Dubai in 2013, Dr. Elegbe worked as a consultant physician in several UK hospitals, including Worthing Hospital, Croydon University Hospital, and Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he was the Acute Medicine Service Lead. In the UAE, he was instrumental in developing several hospital protocols and guidelines in his role as a consultant at Mediclinic City Hospital.
Dr. Elegbe is a dedicated medical educator with certification in Medical Education and accreditation as Physician as Educator. He has also contributed to the medical community by serving as a member of the UK’s Acute Medicine Specialty Certificate Question Writing Group for years, and as an abstract reviewer and Poster Judge at the yearly American College of Physicians Internal Medicine Meetings. He is a member of the Society for Acute Medicine (UK) and the British Geriatric Society (BGS).
